A filter medium made of Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) fibres is successfully being used in a dust collector of a waste incineration plant. The warranty term of 36 months was fulfilled and the filter bags are still working to the satisfaction of the plant operator.

In order to increase the lifetime of the filter bags, we selected a support fabric of PTFE and applied a special treatment for the protection against acid and alkali attacks. Moreover, the needlefelt contains an admixture of trilobal fine fibres in order to achieve an improved filtration efficiency.
